About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Polystar General Services, Inc. in Makati City, Metro Manila. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our commercial buildings through proactive maintenance and timely repairs.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctioning building systems or equipment
  3. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised maintenance or repair work
  4. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and work orders
  5. Respond promptly to emergency service requests from tenants or building management
  6. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance building efficiency and sustainability
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

What we're looking for

  1. 1-2 years of experience as a building maintenance technician or in a similar role
  2. Technical proficiency in the maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
  3. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  5. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  6. Certification or training in building maintenance or related trades is preferred
  7. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
