We are looking for a detail-oriented
Payroll Associate
to join our team and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. This role is vital in supporting our employees, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with HR and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Payroll Processing
- Collect and verify employee timesheets, attendance, and other relevant data.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and bonuses accurately.
- Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees on a scheduled basis (bi-weekly or monthly).
- Prepare and process final settlements for resigning employees.
Payroll System Management
- Enter and update employee payroll information in payroll software.
- Maintain and audit payroll records for accuracy and completeness.
- Generate payroll reports as needed for management or auditing purposes.
Deductions and Benefits
- Process employee deductions such as taxes, contributions, and loans.
- Coordinate with HR for benefits-related payroll deductions and updates.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure payroll practices comply with company policies and government regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll records and personal information.
- Process PEZA payroll-related reports.
Employee Support
- Address employee questions regarding paychecks, taxes, and deductions through the ticketing system.
- Assist employees with direct deposit setup and payroll-related forms.
- Address payroll discrepancies and escalate issues to resolve promptly.
Collaboration
- Work closely with HR and Finance departments for accurate recordkeeping & payroll processing.
- Coordinate year-end payroll activities and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll principles, government regulations, and compliance.
- Highly preferred: Experience with
Sprout HR & Payroll System
