About the role

Join Watsons Personal Care Stores (Philippines), Inc. as an Supervisor, Accounts Payable. In this full-time role based in LIIP, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the company's accounts payable function. Your strategic contributions will be integral to supporting the financial operations and overall success of this leading retail business.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day accounts payable operations, including processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments
  • Review and approve monthly accounts reconciliation and recommend actions for long outstanding reconciling items.
  • Analyse financial data and prepare reports to support management decision-making
  • Formulate action plans to address findings within one week from the date report findings were received or depending on audit coverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and address vendor inquiries
  • Support the development and enhancement of the accounts payable system and processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies

What we're looking for

  • Relevant university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, preferably in the retail industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
