Job Overview As the Short-Form Video Editor, you will own the creation of high-impact, viral-ready content that drives engagement and brand growth across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms. You'll specialize in fast-paced, hook-driven editing while using AI tools, motion graphics, and animations to produce content that stands out.

This role goes beyond basic clipping—you'll experiment with trends, test formats, collaborate closely with the long-form team, and play a key role in shaping the brand's short-form strategy. You'll also help mentor junior editors, optimize workflows, and scale output to achieve a goal of up to 100 shorts per month.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and deliver up to 100 short-form videos per month optimized for TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

  • Use hooks, captions, animations, and trend-driven effects.

  • Apply AI-powered editing tools for automation, speed, and quality improvements.

  • Collaborate with the long-form editor to repurpose content into highly shareable short-form clips.

  • Contribute to ad creatives, promo videos, and experimental formats for campaigns.

  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithms, and viral content strategies.

  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to align short-form content with brand goals.

  • Build and maintain editing templates, AI workflows, and scalable systems for mass production.

  • Mentor junior editors and assist in training teammates on short-form content strategies.

  • Proactively pitch new ideas, styles, and trends to grow reach and engagement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience editing short-form content for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent tools) for motion graphics.

  • Strong understanding of social media trends, hooks, captions, and viral content principles.

  • Skilled in AI-powered video tools (Descript, Runway, Topaz, etc.) for automation and content scaling.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

  • Strong creative instincts with an eye for pacing, rhythm, and storytelling in under 60 seconds.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple edits simultaneously.

  • Excited about experimenting, testing, and helping shape short-form strategy.

  • Deliver 100 scroll-stopping videos per month that grow reach and engagement.
  • Support campaigns and ads with trend-driven creatives that convert.
  • Build a scalable, efficient workflow using AI and automation.
  • Help drive measurable increases in views, shares, and follower growth across platforms.
  • Free leadership from content editing oversight by owning short-form production end-to-end.
