SEO Technical Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Technical Specialist to join our fast-paced, large-scale digital marketing agency. This is a critical role responsible for identifying and resolving fundamental technical SEO issues that are impacting our clients' search rankings. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record of success in a high-volume agency environment.

You will be expected to conduct in-depth technical audits, implement solutions, and potentially mentor or train our current SEO team. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our clients' on-page SEO is flawless and delivers tangible results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify and diagnose issues found in platforms like Google Search Console (GSC), Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
• Develop and implement effective technical solutions to improve website performance, crawlability, and ranking factors.
• Work closely with our copywriter and an assistant to address and fix technical issues and ranking problems.
• Provide guidance and training to the existing SEO team to elevate their skill set and prevent future oversights.
• Monitor and analyze client performance data to ensure all SEO strategies are on track and delivering positive ROI.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive SEMrush Expertise: You must be highly proficient with the full paid version of SEMrush. We do not have the capacity to train on this tool, so deep knowledge of all its features and add-ons is non-negotiable.
• CMS Proficiency: Strong experience with a variety of Content Management Systems (CMS) is essential. While experience with Duda is a significant plus, proficiency with WordPress is also acceptable, as Duda is easy to learn for an experienced professional. We require a candidate who can quickly adapt to new platforms and does not specialize solely in Shopify or e-commerce.
• Local SEO Focus: You must specialize in local SEO and have a strong understanding of the unique challenges and strategies involved in ranking for local businesses.
• Technical SEO Fundamentals: A solid, foundational understanding of Screaming Frog, Google Search Console (GSC), and Google Analytics is required. You should be able to navigate these tools to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Agency Experience: Proven experience working in a large-scale agency environment is mandatory. You should be comfortable managing multiple client accounts and handling a high workload.
• Leadership & Training: The ability to investigate and potentially train a team is required. We need someone who can both perform hands-on work and act as a leader.

Details:

• Location: Remote (Philippines time zone)
• Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM PST | Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM PST. This schedule is designed to overlap with our US-based team.
• Compensation: The initial probationary period is one month at $300/week.
• Months 2-3: $330/week
• Month 4 and onward: $350+/week, based on performance.
