Team Lead, Accounting Operations

We are looking for a highly skilled Team Lead to join our Accounting Services Team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, managing a team of analysts, and ensuring the seamless transition of processes for migration—including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations, and reporting. If you have a strong accounting background, proven leadership experience, and a drive for process improvement, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a global organization.

What You'll Do:

As Team Lead, you'll take charge of managing a high-performing accounting operations team, guiding them through daily operations and critical financial cycles. Beyond supervising AP and AR processes, you will play a key role in migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and operational stability. You'll also act as the escalation point for complex issues, collaborate with global stakeholders, and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts in accounting operations.
  • Oversee daily activities, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Drive process migration and transition projects, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and operational stability.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and local regulations.
  • Monitor KPIs and team performance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to resolve issues and strengthen processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex accounting and operational issues.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 7–8 years of experience in accounting operations, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in Real Estate Accounting is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of US Accounting and US GAAP preferred.
  • Proven experience in process migration, transition projects, or process improvement.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

Availability:

  • We welcome all qualified applicants. Immediate availability is an advantage, but we're happy to consider candidates with other start date preferences.

Work Schedule & Set-Up:

  • Set-up: Hybrid arrangement; candidates must be available to report onsite 2–3x per week or as needed.
  • Schedule: Mid-shift, 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM (PH Time), subject to business needs.
  • Overtime: May be required during month-end close and other peak periods.
