The Compliance Manager ensures the organization operates in full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly in highly regulated sectors such as power, energy, and infrastructure. They help mitigate legal, regulatory, and operational risks while promoting a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with energy regulations, environmental laws, labor regulations, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports and filings.

Policy & Procedure Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure policies reflect changes in regulations or company operations.

Risk Assessment

  • Identify compliance risks across projects and operations.
  • Advise management on risk mitigation strategies.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for employees and project teams.
  • Promote a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory adherence.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Conduct audits, inspections, and internal reviews to ensure compliance adherence.
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulators.

Incident Management

  • Investigate potential compliance breaches or violations.
  • Recommend corrective actions and follow-up measures.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience: 6–10 years in compliance, legal, or risk roles; experience in power, energy, infrastructure, or utilities preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Law, Business, Risk Management, or related field); certifications like CCEP, CRCM, or similar are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in energy/infrastructure.
  • Risk management, audit, and investigation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to implement compliance programs across multiple departments.
