POSITION: BUDGET AND FINANCIAL PLANNING MANAGER FOR SM LEISURE, RESORTS AND RESIDENCES

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Budget and Financial Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's budgeting process, financial planning, and analysis. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insights into financial performance, project viability, and long-term financial sustainability.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting process across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop financial forecasts and projections to support business planning.
  • Monitor budget execution and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze financial statements to assess company performance and identify trends.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and scenario modeling to support business decisions.

Project Financial Monitoring

  • Monitor project-level Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
  • Compute and analyze key financial metrics such as:
  • Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
  • Net Present Value (NPV)
  • Payback Period
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial targets are met.

Feasibility Studies

  • Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies for new projects and investments.
  • Evaluate financial viability and risks associated with proposed initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or related roles.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in
    Microsoft Excel
    (pivot tables, financial modeling, etc.).
  • Knowledge of
    SAP
    or similar ERP systems.
  • Well-versed in financial statement preparation and forecasting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of
    real estate accounting
    is a strong advantage.
  • Willing to work
    ONSITE at MOA COMPLEX, PASAY CITY
