About the role

Office Symmetry is seeking a talented Medical Coder to join our team in Tunasan Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant medical coding for our healthcare clients. What you'll be doing

  • Review patient medical records and translate diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardised medical codes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing staff to ensure accurate and timely coding
  • Assist in the resolution of coding-related inquiries and issues
  • Participate in quality assurance and auditing processes to identify and address coding errors
  • Provide training and support to other members of the coding team
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of coding processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent medical coding certification
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical coding, preferably in a healthcare or medical administration setting
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and healthcare regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and compliant coding
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare providers and team members
  • Proficiency in using medical coding software and electronic health record systems

Qualifications:

  • BS Nursing or any Allied Medical Degree
  • At least 1 year coding experience in Inpatient and/or Outpatient settings
  • With Home Health experience (less than 2 years preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in ICD-10, CM Guidelines, and OASIS
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation review
