Reimbursement Analyst

Overview

The Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for supporting reimbursement and revenue cycle activities through detailed financial analysis, accurate reporting, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong accounting foundation and experience working with reimbursement data, with flexibility for candidates whose revenue cycle experience may come from non-healthcare environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze provider reimbursement data to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Support revenue cycle functions, including reimbursement analysis, reporting, and variance investigation
  • Prepare and maintain financial schedules, reconciliations, and reimbursement-related reports
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations teams to resolve reimbursement discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to reimbursement and revenue analysis
  • Leverage Excel and Microsoft Office tools to build models, track performance, and present findings

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience working with provider reimbursement
  • Revenue cycle experience (healthcare preferred, but not required)
  • Strong general accounting background with demonstrated analytical skills
  • Experience applying accounting principles to reimbursement or revenue analysis, including experience outside of healthcare
