Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payable transactions. This role involves invoice validation, maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts, and coordinating with internal departments to resolve discrepancies. The position plays a vital role in supporting the company's financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Validate invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper matching and approvals.
  • Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable aging schedule and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies through coordination with suppliers and internal departments (e.g., procurement, warehouse).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payables transactions.
  • Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to disbursements.
  • Assist in improving AP processes and systems for increased accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (Required)
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and AP best practices
