Job Description:

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring , analyzing, and controlling the hotel's cost with primary focus on F&B cost, room supplies, and operating expenses, in accordance with USALI standards. The position ensures accurate cost reporting, effective inventory control, and supports management in maintaining targeted profit margin.

What you'll do:

1. Cost control & analysis - monitor, compute, analyze and subsequently investigate variances including creation of reports.

  1. Inventory control & stock management - monitor inventory on a regular basis including ensuring proper documentation of stock requests and releasing.

  2. Purchasing & Receiving oversight - review purchase requests, verification of supplier invoices, including monitoring of price fluctuations and proper coordination for cost efficiency

  3. Menu & recipe costing - maintain standard menu costing including but not limited to monitoring actual vs standard recipe, menu pricing, profitability analysis and recommendation, if necessary, of price adjustments and portion controls

  4. USALI Reporting & Financial Coordination - ensure costs are ported to correct USALI departments, coordination with Finance Manager for proper expense classification, P&L reporting support and assist in month-end closing and audit activities

  5. Internal Control & Compliance - enforce internal control policies including segregation of duties, and support both internal and external audits.

  6. Coordination & Communication - Provide cost awareness, cost reduction initiatives and consistent communication and /or coordination with involved departments

  7. Any other tasks that the Finance Manager may deem fit for operational needs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Hospitality Management or any related field

  2. At least 2-3 years experience in hotel cost control, inventory, or accounting

  3. Strong analytical and numerical skills

  4. Keen attention to detail

  5. Good interpersonal skills

  6. Knowledge of inventory and accounting systems

  7. Experience in F&B cost control and USALI knowledge are an advantage

  8. Displays high integrity
