I. JOB PURPOSE

Interns under the Restaurant Systems Department will support Restaurant Systems Officers in their projects while gaining hands-on experience in real-world business systems. They will learn how store management systems, operating systems, and equipment systems work together to keep restaurant operations efficient. The goal is for interns to grow their skills in project support, documentation, collaboration, and systems thinking while contributing to ongoing projects.

* Project Support

1. Assist Restaurant Systems Officers in monitoring ongoing projects under store management, operating, and equipment systems.

2. Help prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to track project milestones.

  1. Follow up with concerned teams to ensure deliverables are on schedule.
  2. Provide basic troubleshooting or testing support during system rollouts.

*Systems Documentation & Analysis

  1. Support in gathering and organizing data related to system performance and store operations.

  2. Assist in documenting processes, system updates, and implementation guidelines.

*Collaboration & Coordination

  1. Coordinate with internal teams and departments for project requirements and updates. 2. Participate in meetings, take minutes, and ensure action items are tracked.

*Learning & Development

  1. Gain hands-on exposure to store management systems, operating systems, and equipment systems.

  2. Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions to build technical and operational understanding.

  3. Contribute ideas and process improvement suggestions when opportunities arise.

III. OBJECTIVE KEY RESULTS

*Project Support

- Support RS Officers in tracking project timelines and deliverables.

- Help prepare simple reports, updates, and presentations.

- Observe how projects are rolled out in stores.

*Systems Documentation & Analysis

- Help organize and maintain system documents and updates.

- Assist in collecting and summarizing data.

- Learn how information is used to spot areas for improvement.

*Collaboration & Coordination

- Join meetings, take down notes, and follow up on action points.

- Coordinate with teams for project needs.

- Experience real workplace collaboration.

*Learning & Development

- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

- Learn how different systems (store, operations, equipment) support the business.

- Share ideas and apply classroom learning to real projects.

IV. COMPETENCIES

V. QUALIFICATION

  1. Open to BS Industrial Engineering and BS Mechanical Engineering students who need internship/practicum hours

  2. Excited to learn about restaurant systems, project management, and process improvement

  3. Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) — or willing to learn quickly

  4. Curious, adaptable, and detail-oriented with a drive to grow skills in real-world applications

  5. Willing to collaborate with different teams and contribute to ongoing projects
