JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for
an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist (CAPEX) who will
assist the Commercial Finance Director with evaluation of all Capex proposals. He/She will review whether value proposition meets the IRR requirement, enough budget is available for allocation and spend is being realized timely. He/she will also ensure the accuracy of monthly Capex reporting, ie., Committed, Spent and Capex LEs.

CAPEX Process

  • Evaluates all CAPEX proposals to ensure it meets our profitability requirement, financial impact of contracts relating to CAPEX have been identified and considered and project would proceed as planned based on the Supply offer. He also checks that the required approvals and supports are complete.
  • Monitors capex spending per category to be within the allocated annual budget.
  • Updates and reports monthly, all CAPEX expenditures per project, split into Committed, Spent; closes WBS/AUC codes for confirmed completed projects.
  • Assists in the CAPEX LE process and prepares LE reports per CAPEX project. Attends meeting with budget focals, to assist in the review of status of each CAPEX project
  • At year end, helps ensure CAPEX budget will be spent fully by providing regular CAPEX reports to budget holders. Gathers and monitors incomplete CAPEX projects at year end for proper accrual
  • Creates WBS code for all approved CAPEX requests and attends to all CAPEX inquiries from Sales. Reviews utilized year-end capex accruals, and requests for reversal at month end.
  • Prepares all adhoc Capex reports, eg., justification for additional CAPEX budget
  • Provides CAPEX data needed for the Post Investment Review (PIR) reports
  • Continuous process improvements

  • To provide effective and value-added finance analysis to the business in an ever-challenging business

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in working with business function heads
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Isla reporting requirements
  • Ability to understand impacts of business actions on financials and KPIs.
  • Able to champion and roll out Management initiatives
  • Able to provide timely and quality management analysis to the team for decision making

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • At least 3 year working experience in Cost Accounting, General Ledger, Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Knowledge in Financial ERPs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral English communication skills.
  • Advance level in MS Office
  • Critical thinker, analytical, and highly organized
  • Able to work independently and prepares accurate and reliable reports
