We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Virtual Assistant to support our healthcare operations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage high-volume calls while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, providers, and administrative staff, ensuring smooth coordination of medical services and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle heavy call volumes with professionalism, patience, and efficiency
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and reminders
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) and update patient information accurately
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide clear, compassionate communication
  • Process insurance verifications and assist with billing inquiries (as needed)
  • Prepare reports and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant or experience in BPO healthcare account
  • Strong background in call handling (high-volume, multi-line systems, or call center experience)
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
