Role Overview

The role of Political Researcher is an exciting position within Vuelio's Political Services division.

As a Political Researcher, you have a key editorial role, which includes producing a range of political content and data management. This includes contributing towards Vuelio's planning publications and informing of parliamentary activity.

The post holder will contribute to day management of political data, which includes monitoring UK parliaments for key changes.

This role requires excellent research skills and writing skills.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

This role is a blend of editorial content creation and precise data management:

• Editorial Work:
  Creating daily and weekly forward planners of parliamentary and government activity, including sector specific horizon scans.
• Political Database Accuracy:
  Responsible for making sure that the Political Database is kept up to date and current. You will also need to make sure that customer service level agreements relating to data accuracy are met.
• Monitoring of Changes:
  Alongside other members of the political team you will need to make sure changes in the political landscape are reflected by what is published on the Political Database. This includes tracking registers that are published by Parliament and other political institutions.
• Recording own Activity & Systems:
  You will be required to report on your own activity by filling in timesheets and using our proprietary database system (VMD) efficiently after training.
