This position leads the Editorial Production Team, ensuring that all materials are produced, on time, within the budget, and of high-quality standards. The role is accountable for production process efficiency, workflow optimization, and strategic planning, including the development and execution of the Departments Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The Editorial Production Manager drives continuous improvement across all production process.

Production Planning and Execution

Develop implement, and monitor the production schedule for editorial and layout activities.

Ensures that projects meet out targets, quality standards, and timeliness.

Actively track project progress and adjust resources to maintain production flow.

Ensure alignment of production activities with the departmental AOP.

Annual Operating Plan Development and Execution

Collaborate with the GM and cross-functional teams to design the AOP of the Editorial Production Department, including manpower, resource allocation, and output target.

Translate AOP Objectives into actionable production plans and timelines.

Monitor AOP performance regularly and implement course corrections to achieve targets.

Report AOP progress and highlight key risks and mitigation strategies to Mancom and Execom.

Efficiency and Process Improvement

Continuously analyze production workflow to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.

Develop standard operating procedures, templates, and tools to enhance productivity.

Introduce automation, digital solutions, or best practices to reduce turnaround time without compromising quality.

Lead root cause analysis for recurring production issues and implement preventive measures.

Quality Assurance

Ensure that editing and layout outputs comply with company standards for formatting, consistency, and readability through the Quality Control Process in Line QC.

Monitor quality control results from Line QC reports to ensure achievement of set quality standards.

Team Leadership

Supervise Managing Editors, Line QC Inspectors, and other Editorial Production Staff, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development.

Supports the PMO for project strategy, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Facilitate cross-functional communication between Editorial and Product Development teams.

Reporting and Collaboration

Prepare reports on Editorial Production performance, efficiency metrics, and AOP Execution for the GM.

Collaborate with Editorial Production to ensure smooth handoff of Project Output to Project Mngt.

Editorial Standards and House Style

Define, document, and maintain Editorial House Style for the organization.

Establish standards for formatting, typography, layout conventions, and editing style guidelines.

Ensure that the Editorial House Style aligns with the company's branding curriculum requirement, and target learner groups.

Provide guidance to Managing Editors and teams on updates or refinements to the House Style.

Performs other related duties and functions as maybe assigned and needed from time to time.
