About the role

We are seeking a skilled Jr. Automation Tester to join our dynamic team at Ascendion. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Jr. Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated testing frameworks.

What you'll be doing

  1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and identify appropriate test scenarios
  3. Execute automated tests and analyse results to identify and document defects
  4. Continuously improve and optimise the test automation infrastructure to enhance efficiency and coverage
  5. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for test automation within the organisation
  6. Provide technical support and training to development teams on test automation practices

What we're looking for

  1. 1-3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation
  2. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
  3. Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Appium)
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
  7. A passion for quality assurance and a commitment to delivering high-quality software
