Job Summary
The Assistant IT Manager supports the IT Manager in overseeing the company's technology infrastructure, systems, and IT operations. This role ensures that all IT services run smoothly, supports users across the organization, and assists in implementing IT projects, security measures, and technology improvements.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Operations & Technical Support
- Oversee daily IT operations and ensure minimal downtime.
- Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Ensure timely resolution of service desk tickets and escalate complex concerns when necessary.
- Monitor performance of IT systems and network infrastructure.
2. System & Network Administration
- Assist in the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Support backup operations and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage user accounts, access control, and permissions.
3. IT Security
- Assist in implementing and monitoring IT security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support the deployment of security software, updates, and patches.
- Conduct regular audits of system vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with standards.
4. Asset & Vendor Management
- Assist in managing IT asset inventory, including hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and software renewals.
- Support budget preparation for IT equipment and services.
5. IT Projects & Process Improvement
- Participate in planning and execution of IT projects such as system upgrades, rollouts, or process automation.
- Recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare documentation including IT procedures, guidelines, and reports.
6. Team Supervision & Training
- Support the IT Manager in supervising IT staff and monitoring performance.
- Provide training to employees on systems, tools, and best IT practices.
- Coordinate tasks and ensure team alignment with IT policies and goals.
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
- At least 3–5 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or network support.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, networks (LAN/WAN), and firewall administration.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365/Google Workspace, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud-based services.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Leadership mindset with a proactive and service-oriented approach.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php55, Php60,000.00 per month
