DIY Hardware is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to take charge of financial reporting across all branches. This role focuses on store profitability analysis, cost-to-sales monitoring, rental evaluation, and SAP-driven financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping management make data-driven decisions that improve overall profitability.

This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, and experienced in multi-branch retail accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Store Profitability & Financial Analysis

  • Prepare monthly income statements per store and identify loss-making branches.
  • Analyze branch performance, cost-to-sales ratios, and expense structures.
  • Provide recommendations to improve store profitability.

Expense & Cost Control Management

  • Track rental rates and assist in rent negotiation analysis.
  • Monitor office, operating, and store-level expenses.
  • Flag high-cost branches and areas needing cost optimization.

Inventory & Cashflow Insights

  • Coordinate with the merchandising team to identify stores with excess inventory.
  • Provide financial analysis to support rationalization of SKUs and brands.
  • Help management optimize cash allocations and inventory levels per store.

SAP / ERP Functions

  • Process and validate accounting transactions using SAP.
  • Generate reports, reconcile data, and ensure accurate posting of entries.
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Work closely with Buyers, Store Operations, Warehouse, and Management.
  • Provide financial insights during decision-making, expansion planning, or rationalization efforts.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or similar field.
  • SAP experience is ideal (Finance or Inventory modules preferred).
  • At least 2–3 years experience in accounting, financial analysis, or management reporting.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling.
  • Experience in retail or multi-branch accounting is an advantage.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong analytical thinker.
  • Able to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity.
