Job Summary

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, reducing costs, and ensuring efficient use of resources (manpower, materials, machines, and methods). The role focuses on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, quality, and data-driven decision-making to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement.
  • Design and implement optimized production layouts, workstations, and material flow
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, etc.)
  • Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.
  • Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
  • Improve the efficiency of each production process.
  • Evaluate employees' tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.

Production Planning & Efficiency

  • Conduct time studies, motion studies, and line balancing to improve productivity
  • Establish standard work procedures and labor standards
  • Support capacity planning and production scheduling

Cost Reduction & Resource Utilization

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in labor, materials, and overhead
  • Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment
  • Support make-or-buy decisions and productivity improvement projects

Quality & Performance Management

  • Analyze quality data and assist in root cause analysis of defects and rework
  • Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production and operational data
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management
  • Use statistical and analytical tools to support decision-making

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure process designs comply with safety, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements
  • Support ergonomic assessments and workplace safety improvements

Collaboration & Training

  • Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
  • Train operators and supervisors on new processes and standard work
  • Support change management during implementation of improvements

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (varies by level)
  • Encourage to all Fresh Graduate to apply

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with time studies, line balancing, and productivity analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and manufacturing data systems (ERP/MES preferred)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

  • Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE) or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
