ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Industrial Engineer (IE) provides data analytics, operational insights, and process optimization support across Operations and Shared Services. This role works closely with Operations Managers (OMs), Area Managers (AMs), Store Teams, and Shared Services functions to identify gaps, evaluate efficiencies, improve productivity, and implement scalable solutions.

The IE plays a key role in improving store performance, cost control, service quality, and internal process efficiency through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Data Analytics & Performance Insights

  • Partner with Operations and Shared Services teams to analyze performance data and identify improvement opportunities
  • Build dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making
  • Analyze trends across sales, labor, food cost, waste, QSC, speed of service, and service-level performance
  • Conduct time-and-motion studies, productivity assessments, and workflow mapping across stores and support functions

B. Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Recommend process enhancements to improve productivity, service flow, and execution consistency
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
  • Develop and validate SOP improvements, labor models, and optimized workflows
  • Assess layouts, system handoffs, equipment utilization, and process bottlenecks to improve efficiency

C. Systems, Standards & Optimization Projects

  • Work with Operations Excellence, Shared Services, and Training teams to align processes with brand and company standards
  • Support system improvements (RMS, POS, dashboards, shared services tools) by defining requirements and providing user feedback
  • Test and validate pilots, trials, new equipment, systems, and workflows
  • Assist in developing capacity models and forecasting tools to support planning across functions

D. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with Operations, Shared Services, RGM, Supply Chain, QA, Training, HR, and Finance
  • Support store-level and back-office interventions by working directly with teams
  • Present insights, analyses, and recommendations to leadership for decision-making

E. Compliance, Risk Management & Accuracy

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across operational and shared services reporting
  • Conduct audits on process compliance and execution effectiveness
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies to address process gaps and systemic inefficiencies
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 3 years' experience in process improvement, operations engineering, or analytics
  • Experience in retail, restaurant, or shared services environments is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets, analytics tools, and process analysis
  • Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and process mapping skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
