Job Description: Data Engineer (Teradata Focus)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Teradata data warehouse development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting large-scale data solutions, with strong SQL proficiency and a solid understanding of ETL processes.


Non-Negotiable Skills
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience and proficiency in SQL
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Teradata Data Warehouse development (or related technology)
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ETL interfaces from source systems to the data warehouse
  • Build aggregate processes for conformed dimensions into the data warehouse
  • Prepare the presentation layer to enable BI dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Provide ad-hoc data solutions and insights from the data warehouse for business needs
  • Offer technical assistance and support to application and business users
  • Analyze, review, and optimize existing code for performance and adaptability
  • Perform testing, installation, and deployment of code changes as needed
  • Collaborate with external vendors to resolve application-related issues
  • Participate in various project roles, such as Designer, Tester, Software Architect, or Implementer

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends (24x7 support environment)
  • Experience in a support and development-oriented environment (or willingness to take on support tasks when required)
  • Hands-on experience in data warehouse technologies (Teradata or related)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of other database platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, DB2 (cloud experience preferred)

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering tools
  • Experience in data modeling and performance tuning
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
