
Sr. Manager, Accounts Payable

The Accounts Payable (AP) Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, compliance with company policies, and strong internal controls. This role provides leadership to the AP team (Region), drives process improvements, manages vendor relationships, and partners with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the Accounts Payable (AP) team, driving performance, efficiency, and compliance.
- Oversee end-to-end AP operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, optimizing working capital through effective payment terms and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with policies, SOX/internal controls, and regulatory requirements; lead audits and month/year-end close activities.
- Build strong vendor and stakeholder relationships, resolving escalations and supporting contract/payment negotiations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Treasury, and Finance to streamline the procure-to-pay process and implement automation solutions.
- Lead system upgrades, ERP implementations, and process transformation initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Provide insights during Monthly Business Reviews, aligning AP performance with regional and organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Finance, Accountancy, or related field.
- 10–15 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 8 years of solid end-to-end P2P experience in a multinational shared services environment.
- Strong knowledge of audit principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Concur, OCR) and experienced in handling accounts payable across multiple business entities.
- Skilled in MS Office applications and other reporting tools.
- Experience in process migration is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to work at night.
- Amenable to work onsite three times a week
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt) is highly preferred.
