General Responsibilities
Meets and exceeds customers and team members' expectations
- Provides value added service to costumers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and superiors.
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
- Handles difficult situations effectively.
- Meets "Only the BEST for our Guests" service standards.
- Performs other duties as required to provide "Only the BEST for our Guests" service and teamwork.
- Serves guests with food and beverage
- Leads customers to allocated/reserved/preferred table.
- Walks at reasonable pace ahead of customers.
- Seats customers (ladies first) slowly and carefully.
- Ensures prior preparation to service
- Brings tray to table for cleaning.
- Places all glasses, ashtrays, and tidbit bowls on the tray OR arranges these items properly on the Waiter's Station.
- Cleans table top with a damp tablecloth.
- Ensures customer satisfaction
- Approaches the table with a smile.
- Listens to customers' reply attentively.
- Responds to customers in an appropriate manner.
- Gives necessary information to customers.
- Acquires a working knowledge of the Hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to satisfactorily respond to customer questions in these areas as required.
- Describes knowledgeably any food item in the menu upon customer's request.
- Handles minor customer complaints.
- Approaches customer promptly.
- Listens attentively to customers.
- Apologizes to complaining customers.
- Shows concern by empathizing.
- Thanks customer.
- Takes immediate action.
- Refers matters to immediate superior if unable to handle.
- Maintains good customer relations all throughout service
- Handles all interactions with a smile, calmly and courteously.
- Always neat and tidy in appearance and well groomed.
- General Responsibilities
- Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Hotel policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other Hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
