  17. Leads customers to allocated/reserved/preferred table.
  18. Walks at reasonable pace ahead of customers.
  19. Seats customers (ladies first) slowly and carefully.
  20. Ensures prior preparation to service
  21. Brings tray to table for cleaning.
  22. Places all glasses, ashtrays, and tidbit bowls on the tray OR arranges these items properly on the Waiter's Station.
  23. Cleans table top with a damp tablecloth.
  24. Ensures customer satisfaction
  25. Approaches the table with a smile.
  26. Listens to customers' reply attentively.
  27. Responds to customers in an appropriate manner.
  28. Gives necessary information to customers.
  29. Acquires a working knowledge of the Hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to satisfactorily respond to customer questions in these areas as required.
  30. Describes knowledgeably any food item in the menu upon customer's request.
  31. Handles minor customer complaints.
  32. Approaches customer promptly.
  33. Listens attentively to customers.
  34. Apologizes to complaining customers.
  35. Shows concern by empathizing.
  36. Thanks customer.
  37. Takes immediate action.
  38. Refers matters to immediate superior if unable to handle.
  39. Maintains good customer relations all throughout service
  40. Handles all interactions with a smile, calmly and courteously.
  41. Always neat and tidy in appearance and well groomed.
  42. General Responsibilities
  43. Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  44. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Hotel policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  45. Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other Hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
