Finance Manager

Overview: The Finance Manager will work directly with the General Manager with the goal of the preparation of financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. He / she shall oversee the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing financial guidance to senior management.

Responsibilities:

● Financial Planning and Analysis:

· Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.

· Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for budgeting and forecasting purposes.

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the company's financial health and performance.

● Financial Reporting:

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

· Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements to management, board of directors, and regulatory authorities.

· Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

● Financial Compliance:

o Ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax regulations

o Manage internal controls to safeguard financial assets

o Oversee the audit process

● Budget Management:

· Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior management.

· Track budget performance against actual results and provide variance analysis and explanations as needed.

· Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements to achieve financial targets.

● Cash Flow Management:

· Manage cash flow projections and liquidity needs to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.

· Monitor cash flow activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital management.

· Implement cash management policies and procedures to optimize cash utilization and minimize financial risks

● Risk Management:

· Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate exposure to various risk factors.

· Monitor compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements to ensure sound financial governance.

· Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial position.

● Taxation Management:

· Stay updated on relevant tax laws, regulations, and rulings, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax requirements.

· Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory filings.

· Develop tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA is an advantage.

● Proven experience (10 years+) in a finance management role

● Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting

● Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial regulations

● Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
