Job Description: Interconnection Specialist

Position Summary:

The Interconnection Specialist is responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing utility interconnection applications for residential solar projects. This role ensures timely and accurate completion of all required documentation, serves as the main point of contact with utility companies, and coordinates with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and facilitate approvals.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, review, and submit interconnection applications to utility companies for residential solar installations.

  • Track and manage the status of all applications to ensure timely approvals and identify potential delays.
  • Communicate directly with utility representatives to resolve questions, deficiencies, or requests for additional information.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, sales, operations) and customers to gather required documents and information.
  • Maintain accurate records of application statuses, documentation, and communications in company systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving utility interconnection requirements, policies, and processes.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline interconnection workflows.
  • Escalate complex issues to management as needed.
