Logistics Manager

Position Summary:

The
Logistics Manager
is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing logistics operations such as inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution of food products. The role ensures that the entire supply chain runs efficiently, complies with food safety standards, and supports production schedules while optimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to support production and customer delivery requirements.
• Oversee and manage the warehousing and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and alignment with demand forecasts.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation scheduling, route planning, and carrier management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP).
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure optimal supply chain performance.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transport companies.
• Lead and mentor a team of logistics, warehouse, and delivery personnel.
• Prepare and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of food products to prevent spoilage or contamination.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems).
• Familiarity with food safety and quality regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
