  • Checks the condition of all equipment for each operating plant and its operational flow and ensures that each plant always attain the processing and output rate based on standards.
  • Monitors the operations of each plant attainment of desired product quality as well as the quality for feedstocks for evaluation of process materials to be used including its dosage.
  • Keeps abreast with new processing technology and reviews existing methods and equipment and recommends ways of improving these.
  • Prepares maintenance work order each time a machine needs checking or repair and submits the same to the immediate superior.
  • Finalizes production reports on his assigned shift and briefs the relieving shift engineer on all pertinent details about the plant condition before leaving his post at the end of his assigned shift. Monitors, computes and records daily steam, power, process materials and chemical consumption during the operation of each plant.
  • Follows up the completion of repair jobs requested as well as inspects and accepts the same.
  • Ensures that safety practices are strictly being followed by all other production workers and monitors their performance and that their task are completely carried out during the shift.
  • Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Must be a LICENSED ENGINEER
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in supervise manpower handling
  • With at least 1-2 years of experience as Shift Engineer
  • Experience in a refinery plant set-up is an advantage but not a must
