Job Summary:

The Japanese Language Instructor is responsible for teaching the Japanese language (Nihongo) to students across various levels, from beginner to intermediate or advanced, depending on the program. The instructor will help students develop skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Nihongo, as well as gain an understanding of Japanese culture and customs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Nihongo for different levels (N5–N1 or as required).
  • Use a variety of teaching materials and methods (e.g., audio, visual, role-play, and online tools).
  • Teach JLPT preparation classes (optional or required).
  • Evaluate student progress through quizzes, written/oral tests, and class participation.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and support to help students improve language proficiency.
  • Prepare instructional materials, lesson plans, and reports.
  • Incorporate Japanese culture and etiquette in lessons to support immersive learning.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, language events, and cultural activities.
  • Stay updated on language teaching trends and JLPT changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Foreign Languages, Japanese Studies, or related field
  • JLPT N2 or N1 Certification (required or strongly preferred)
  • Teaching experience in Japanese language or related field (1–2 years preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with curriculum design and lesson planning

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience teaching online using platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge of Filipino-Japanese cultural differences and sensitivities
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds
  • Patience, cultural awareness, and enthusiasm for teaching

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php16, Php27,000.00 per month
