Position Overview

The Back of House (BOH) team member is primarily responsible for the preparation and assembly of bakery products according to customer orders, company standards, and food safety guidelines. This role ensures quality, accuracy, and efficiency in production while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and plate bakery products based on customer orders and standard recipes.
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food handling, sanitation, and safety.
  • Monitor product freshness and ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing inventory and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Support daily opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with FOH (Front of House) staff for smooth service flow.
  • Adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and hygiene practices at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent; vocational/technical training in Food & Beverage or Culinary is an advantage.
  • Preferably with at least 6 months of experience in a bakery, commissary, or kitchen environment (but not required; entry-level applicants are welcome).
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and basic kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit to stand for long hours and perform kitchen tasks.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
