Job description:

As the R&D Chef, you will be the "chef-in-charge" of new F&B developments, and will work closely with clients/project stakeholders and spearhead F&B consultancy projects. This will include working various day to day tasks including but not limited to

  • Concept & menu development
  • Market research and testing
  • Budget program and preparation
  • Recipe creation & testing
  • Recipe development and standardization
  • Food tasting and costing
  • Trainings, audit

Furthermore, as the R&D chef and chef-in-charge, you will also be responsible for coordinating and liaising with all project stakeholders including clients, contractors, suppliers, etc, including preparing internal and external reports pertaining to the status of the project, and ensuring timeline schedules are met.

Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma holder from a reputable Culinary School or a Bachelor's Degree in or related to Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Hotel, F&B Operations and/or Product Development (Food)
  • Minimum 1 year restaurant or kitchen management experience
  • Background in recipe development, food costing, and kitchen training required
  • Understanding of various ingredients, culinary equipment, and cooking procedures. Knowledge of best practices of operating in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Exposure to multiple different cuisines in a professional setting.
  • Excellent communication skills (English and Tagalog).
  • Familiar and knowledgeable with GMP, Food Safety, HACCP.
  • Highly organized and capable of handling multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and/or Microsoft product
