Estimator Engineer

Job Qualifications:

1.  Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

2.  PRC License is a plus.

3.  Knowledgeable of related engineering discipline, products and applicable regulations, codes and standards.

4.  Knowledgeable in ISO Standards.

Required Skills:

1.  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

2.  Knowledge in AutoCAD is a must, other drafting software such as revit and solidoworks is a plus.

3.  Technically sound with good analytical skills and engineering fundamentals.

Required Experience:

1.  Preferably with 1-2 years experience in MEPFS Works.

2.  In-depth understanding of Project Estimation process.

3.  With at least 1 year on-site project construction experience.

4.  With 1-2 years experience as material & cost estimator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Review the RFQ or Bid Documents and validate if the required scope of works and delivery period is within the Company's capability or if the project will benefit the Company.

2.    Send RFI (Request for Information) to the client to get clarifications for any items in question.

3.    Attend pre-bid meeting to get a clear understanding of the Client's project requirements and bidding policies.

4.    Request and conduct ocular inspection to evaluate site installation and gather any other technical information to support accurate cost estimation. Generate ocular inspection report for record and reference.

5.    Send RFQ (Request for Quotation) for the required equipment, materials and subcontractors for specialized works.

6.    Confirm if the supplier offered, equipment and materials comply with the client's specifications.

7.    If the scope of work requires design, prepare draft sketches and calculations to validate the required scope of work and serve as benchmark for the quantity and cost estimate.

8.    Prepare the detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ)) to include general requirements, scope of work, incidentals and any other items that is required for the execution of the project.

9.    Submit the completed BOQ to the Estimation Manager or Project Management and Engineering Manager for review, including any other important references related to the project.

  1. Prepare the terms and conditions (Private Projects) and endorse the proposal to the Sales Team for further actions.

  2. Upload the final BOQ1 to the Project Management System for review and approval of the President & CEO.

  3. Perform other tasks which may be assigned by the Project Management and Engineering Manager.
