Collections Specialist

Salary Range: $693 to $866 per month

Join a well-established, fast-growing UK-based property management company where you'll play a key role in managing sensitive tenant collections with empathy and professionalism. This is a high-impact role where your ability to build rapport, problem-solve in real time, and communicate clearly will make a real difference in the lives of tenants and the success of our team.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor tenant accounts for overdue rent, track aging balances, and follow up through phone, WhatsApp, text, and email.
  • Understand tenant situations and negotiate realistic payment plans while handling concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Communicate payment expectations clearly, maintaining cooperative relationships and addressing issues that may delay payment.
  • Coordinate with property managers and maintenance teams to resolve related problems and keep accurate records of all interactions.
  • Escalate only complex or unresolved cases, handling routine matters independently.

Who You'll Work With:

You'll collaborate directly with property managers and operations staff across our UK-based portfolio to ensure tenants are supported while rental payments stay on track. This role is central to bridging communication between tenants and the business, making sure all voices are heard and solutions are fair and effective.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Strong Communicator:
    Fluent, confident English speaker who can handle sensitive conversations and negotiate with clarity and empathy.
  • Problem-Solver:
    Understands each tenant's situation, communicates with empathy, and finds fair solutions while maintaining firmness when collecting rent.
  • Organized:
    Keeps clear, accurate records of communication and payment agreements, and stays on top of multiple communication channels.
  • Tech-Comfortable:
    Can learn property management software easily.
  • Experience:
    Background in collections, or customer-facing roles like customer service in billing department is preferred but not required.
