JOB SUMMARY:

Write, edit text, and serve as a resource on medical and scientific content in the process of project development and new business pitches.

Oversee the processing of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program applications.

Mentor the Medical Writers and guides them on how to write for different audience and project types.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in, and provides medical and scientific inputs during internal discussion meetings, and in the process of developing editorial text.
  • Conducts background research on topic areas where necessary, and prepares editorial outline.
  • Edits and proofreads text prepared by self and other medical writer/s.
  • Communicates/meets, as necessary, with Clients' Medical Directors, speakers, authors, and contributors on approvals of assigned projects.
  • Incorporates comments and necessary changes from clients (medical and marketing) and authors/speakers when required.
  • Protects confidentiality of Client information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Doctor of Medicine with a strong academic background

  • Good track record or writing scientific and health-related articles

  • Medical Journalism

  • Strong research skills

  • Strong Interpersonal skills and a team player

  • Innovative and resourceful with good organizational skills

  • Dynamic and able to work under pressure

  • Analytical skills

  • Strong sense of ownership

  • Detail oriented

  • Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) licensed

  • Understanding of the ethical principles and legalities that apply to medical communication
