Scope of Work / Responsibilities

The RIP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable Right Integration Platform (RIP) solutions to support digital transformation initiatives. The consultant will collaborate closely with project teams to understand requirements, develop technical specifications, and ensure the delivery of high-quality RIP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2. Design and develop RIP software components and modules.
3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure system functionality and performance.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RIP solutions with existing systems.
5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for RIP-related issues.
6. Document development processes, code changes, and system configurations.
7. Ensure compliance with software development standards and best practices.
8. Train and mentor junior developers on RIP technologies and methodologies.
9. Deliver a fully functional RIP system aligned with project objectives, including comprehensive documentation and support materials.

Detailed Tasks / Expected Outputs

Requirement Analysis and Planning

• Conduct a thorough analysis of project requirements for developing RIP Azure container applications.

Design and Architecture

• Create detailed design documents outlining logical grouping of Azure services within Azure Resource Groups (RGs).

Development and Configuration

• Develop and configure Azure Container Apps (ACA) to host containerized applications and microservices.
• Utilize dapr for state management, service invocation, and event-driven architecture.
• Implement KEDA for autoscaling Kubernetes workloads.
• Configure Azure Service Bus (ASB) for message queues and publish-subscribe topics.

API Management

• Use Azure API Management (APIM) to create, publish, secure, monitor, and analyze APIs.
• Ensure APIs are well-documented and accessible for seamless backend integration.

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Conduct functional and performance testing of applications and services.
• Implement automated testing procedures to validate integration patterns.

Deployment and Monitoring

• Set up infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Deploy applications and services to Azure, ensuring proper configuration and resource allocation.
• Implement monitoring and logging using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

Documentation and Training

• Prepare comprehensive documentation covering design, development, configuration, and deployment.
• Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders.

Deliverables

1. Contribution to project plan including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
2. Detailed design documents and technical specifications.
3. Developed and configured microservices and API deliverables using RIP and provided tools.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience with Azure Container Apps (ACA) and Azure Service Bus (ASB).
• Strong understanding of serverless containers, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in dapr, KEDA, and Envoy.
• Experience managing Azure Resource Groups including provisioning, access control, and cost management.
• Expertise in API lifecycle management using Azure API Management (APIM).

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Desirable: Advanced certifications in Azure technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

Additional Experience

• Experience with state management and service invocation in microservices.
• Familiarity with message queues and publish-subscribe topics.
• Knowledge of retry mechanisms and dead letter queues (DLQ) for message processing.
