About the Role As an OpenShift Platform Engineer / DevOps Lead, you’ll take ownership of designing, deploying, and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift clusters across on‑prem and cloud environments. You’ll also drive automation, CI/CD efficiency, and DevSecOps adoption across teams. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain highly available OpenShift (RHOCP) clusters across hybrid setups. Manage day‑2 operations: patching, upgrades, capacity, and troubleshooting. Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux for continuous configuration management. Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Tekton, or GitLab CI/CD. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and OpenShift Operators. Containerize applications and define manifests (DeploymentConfigs, Routes, Services). Implement monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK Stack. Integrate DevSecOps scanning, RBAC, and security compliance into pipelines. Collaborate across infra, network, and security teams to resolve platform‑level issues. Mentor junior engineers and champion a culture of automation and continuous improvement. Must‑Have Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or SRE roles. Strong hands‑on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift (v4.x or later) and Kubernetes. Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Ansible automation. Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI/CD). Proficiency in Linux system administration and networking (VPC, DNS, firewalls, load balancing). Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go. Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Good‑to‑Have Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration/Development. Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux). Knowledge of Service Mesh (Istio, Kiali). Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, or New Relic for observability. Awareness of container security best practices (CIS benchmarks, vulnerability scanning).
