Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate the nursing team's daily activities.
  • Assign duties and ensure proper staffing levels across all shifts.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to nursing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development needs.

2. Patient Care Management

  • Ensure high-quality and compassionate patient care.
  • Review patient care plans and ensure adherence to medical and nursing protocols.
  • Monitor patient progress and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Address and resolve patient and family concerns promptly.

3. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate nursing and patient records.
  • Manage schedules, attendance, and leave requests.
  • Oversee the ordering and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare reports on staffing, patient care, and departmental activities.

4. Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all nursing activities comply with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and legal standards.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
  • Promote and enforce safety procedures to protect patients and staff.

5. Training and Development

  • Organize regular training sessions and workshops for nursing staff.
  • Encourage professional growth and continued education.
  • Stay updated with new nursing techniques, practices, and technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound knowledge of clinical practices and healthcare regulations
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach
