WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including task assignment, performance evaluation, training, and professional development to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Month-End Close: Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function to streamline operations, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
- Audit Management: Coordinate external audits and reviews, liaise with auditors, and address audit findings to maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and IT, to address accounting-related issues, implement best practices, and support business initiatives.
