DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PATIENT CARE:

Implements all the protocols and hygiene procedures in order to warrant the quality of care to patients and nursing services.

· Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with the patient and his/her colleagues.

· Assists the physician during treatment, examinations and procedures to be done. Positions patients safely, comfortably and with privacy.

· Performs nursing procedures according to acceptable standards, hospital policies and specific to the unit's work instructions.

· Promotes a comfortable, therapeutic and safe environment that would aid in the faster recovery of the patient.

· Observes, records and reports patient's condition like any abnormal findings, reaction to drug treatments and other significant incidents to the attending physician.

· Promotes patients' independence by establishing self- care skills and helps their families to understand conditions and medications.

· Participates with the endorsements, reports to the Charge

Nurse of any inconsistencies and makes final rounds to all patients to complete the necessary information during endorsement time for the next shift. Addresses concerns completely and efficiently.

· Ensures proper and accurate endorsement of patient's diet, and that meals have been served. Submits specific patients' diet report/summary to the Dietary Department.

· Facilitates laboratory requisitions, ensures accurate laboratory request and proper labelling of specimens.

· Administers prescribed medications orally and/or by injection with care and caution.

· Observes hospital infection control policies and procedures in the unit and the hospital. Maintains a safe and clean working environment.

· Provides and explains the discharge instructions to patient.

Calls for assistance from other health care support personnel as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
