We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecom Contracts Lawyer with a strong background in mitigation and litigation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex telecom-related contracts, with the ability to assess both technical and legal aspects of agreements. This position requires a lawyer who can visualize the scope and magnitude of contracts within the telecom sector and apply an analytical approach to potential disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate technical and commercial contracts within the telecommunications industry, including vendor agreements, service contracts, licensing, and infrastructure agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice related to telecommunications regulations, industry standards, and compliance.
  • Analyze the risks, terms, and conditions of contracts, ensuring that they align with company goals and mitigate legal exposure.
  • Manage complex contract disputes and provide expert legal support in litigation matters.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to understand the full scope of projects and the technical requirements outlined in contracts.
  • Evaluate the potential for litigation and prepare or assist in the development of litigation strategies.
  • Conduct legal research on telecom regulations and evolving industry standards to guide contract negotiations.
  • Draft, revise, and implement legal policies, procedures, and strategies for managing telecom contracts and related legal matters.
  • Act as a liaison between legal, technical, and business teams to ensure that contracts are in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in telecommunications law.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience that focuses on technical contracts and litigation.
  • Proven experience in handling complex telecom contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and licensing.
  • Strong litigation background, with experience in managing and analyzing legal disputes in the telecommunications sector.
  • Expertise in telecommunications regulations, technology, and industry practices.
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks in agreements.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to think critically about technical and legal issues in the telecom sector.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal terms into understandable language for non-legal stakeholders.
  • Open to accept consultancy arrangement.
