Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management and safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with DENR, DOLE, and LGU environmental and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections, safety audits, and pollution control monitoring.
  • Prepare and submit required environmental and safety reports.
  • Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Investigate accidents, environmental incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with government agencies regarding permits and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain records related to environmental and safety performance.

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental) or Science-related course.
  • Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) by the DENR and/or Safety Officer (SO2 or higher) certified by the DOLE is highly preferred.
  • With at least 2–3 years of relevant experience in environmental management, safety compliance, and pollution control, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine environmental laws and regulations, including but not limited to RA 8749 (Clean Air Act), RA 9275 (Clean Water Act), RA 6969 (Toxic Substances and Hazardous Waste Act), and RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act).
  • Proficient in preparing, filing, and maintaining compliance reports and permit applications (e.g., Discharge Permit, Hazardous Waste Registration, PCL, ECC, etc.).
  • Experience in developing and implementing EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) programs and conducting internal inspections or audits.
  • Excellent coordination skills in dealing with DENR, DOLE, and LGU offices for compliance and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to train and promote safety and environmental awareness among employees.
