The Online Sales Assistant supports the company's e-commerce operations by processing orders accurately, assisting customers, generating leads, and coordinating with the marketing team. This role ensures smooth online sales flow and contributes directly to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Processing & Coordination
  • Process online orders accurately and on time across all assigned platforms.
  • Verify customer details, payment status, and shipping information before dispatch.
  • Coordinate with fulfillment, logistics, and customer service for smooth order flow.
  • Monitor delays, stock issues, or concerns and escalate when needed.
2. Clerical & Administrative Support
  • Maintain organized sales records, files, and basic documentation.
  • Prepare simple reports, spreadsheets, and tracking sheets as needed.
  • Assist with data entry, updating internal trackers, and filing digital documents.
3. Lead Generation
  • Conduct basic research to identify potential customers, resellers, or partners.
  • Build and maintain organized lead lists for the sales and marketing teams.
  • Assist outreach efforts through templates, messaging, and tagging leads.
4. Customer Inquiries & Support
  • Respond to customer questions via chat, email, or social media.
  • Provide information on products, stock, order status, and promotions.
  • Handle basic complaints and escalate complex concerns to the appropriate team.
5. Marketing Coordination
  • Assist marketing managers with preparing reports, gathering screenshots, and compiling campaign data.
  • Help schedule posts, upload assets, and ensure product links or details are correct.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as influencer drops, product highlights, and campaign rollouts.

Qualifications
  • Experience in online selling, customer service, or e-commerce is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with spreadsheets and online platforms.
  • Ability to multitask and handle time-sensitive tasks.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word
