About the Role

NGO Anya's HOME in Cebu City, Cebu is seeking a talented Certified Public Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and overseeing all aspects of the organisation's accounting and reporting functions. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring NGO Anya's HOME maintains financial integrity and transparency, aligning with industry best practices and regulations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage payroll, and maintain general ledger records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and adherence to all relevant financial regulations
  • Implement and maintain robust internal control systems and procedures
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support the organisation's growth and sustainability
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Mentor and provide guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

What We're Looking For

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years of relevant experience in the non-profit or social sector
  • Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis using accounting software and spreadsheet tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing internal controls and streamlining accounting processes
  • Thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
