The Warehouse Checker is responsible for the accurate verification and documentation of all incoming and outgoing goods within the warehouse or inventory holding area, ensuring inventory integrity for Auro Cafe and retail operations. This role is critical for maintaining correct stock levels, preventing losses, and ensuring the quality and quantity of products (raw materials, finished goods, packaging) align with documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Verification & Auditing:

  • Receiving: Physically check and count all incoming deliveries (e.g., chocolate products, beans, ingredients, café supplies, packaging, equipment) against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Receipts (DRs). Note any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues immediately.
  • Issuance/Dispatch: Verify the quantity and type of items being issued or loaded for delivery to various Auro Cafe branches, ensuring they match the approved Stock Transfer documents or Gate Passes.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts and wall-to-wall counts) to reconcile actual stock with system records and report variances.

Documentation & System Management:

  • Accurately record and process all movement of goods using the company's inventory management system (IMS) or spreadsheets.
  • Maintain systematic and organized filing of all warehouse documents (POs, DRs, Stock Transfer Forms, Inspection Reports).
  • Generate inventory reports as required by the management team.

Warehouse Management & Quality Control:

  • Ensure that goods are stored correctly, adhering to FIFO/FEFO (First-In, First-Out / First-Expired, First-Out) principles, especially for perishable food items.
  • Monitor stock expiration dates and product quality, reporting items nearing expiry or showing signs of damage.
  • Oversee the proper organization, labeling, and cleanliness of the warehouse/storage area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics/Delivery Team to facilitate efficient loading and unloading of goods.
