Job Summary:

The Production Line Leader is responsible in overseeing production operators in various manufacturing processes for a new project. He or she leads the line to achieve production KPIs such as quality, productivity and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the attendance of production operators and assigns schedule based on production plan.
  • Checks production training records and ensures that the production operators are trained and certified on the assigned process.
  • Conducts regular team meetings for instructions, updates, and announcements.
  • Checks daily housekeeping in workstation at the start and end of shift.
  • Execute production plan within the given lead time.
  • Ensures that all production checklists/records are accomplished and completely filled out.
  • Safekeeps all productions equipment and jigs that are not in use.
  • Ensure that operators are using the right tools and jigs and are wearing prescribed PPEs.
  • Verifies OQA failed units(s), if there's any, and be able to feedback to and correct the concerned operators.
  • Conduct analysis of encountered issue on production line.
  • Monitors hourly output, provides update or highlights as necessary and provide actions if needed.
  • Ensure to meet target line productivity and efficiency.
  • Endorses finished lots to OQA and scrap materials back to warehouse.
  • Prepares production reports and documentation as needed.
  • Ensures proper endorsement with incoming Line Leader for the next shift.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Vocational Course or Associate's Degree
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications
  • Preferably with experience in electronics manufacturing industry
  • Has analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • With good communication, planning and organizational skills
