Biological Science Analyst Role

Our organization seeks a skilled Biological Science Analyst to perform various tasks related to pharmaceutical drug products, botanical ingredients, and experimental data recording.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate pharmaceutical drug products according to established specifications.
  • Screen and develop locally available botanical ingredients for potential use as herbal products.
  • Verify the purity and identity of biosimilar and biologics using molecular biology techniques.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments for drug evaluation and/or product development in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ethical standards.
  • Participate in the evaluation of submitted non-clinical data for biosimilar and biologic products, adhering to PhilFDA, WHO, USFDA, and EMA standards.
  • Apply validated in vitro and in vivo laboratory protocols and develop new methods to support departmental projects.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Biology, majoring in Molecular or Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of applied laboratory experience, including in vitro and in vivo studies.
  • Strong understanding of molecular, cell biology, and animal laboratory techniques.
  • Proficiency in techniques involving PCR, protein characterization, ELISA, animal handling, acute oral toxicity, and OECD protocols.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Able to prepare reports on assigned experiments within agreed timelines.
