Job Overview

Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning, and surveying services throughout Australia.

The company works with various clients in the Energy & Resources, Infrastructure and Property sectors to provide high-quality solutions with a focus on client service and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce civil engineering design and documentation for energy and civil infrastructure projects using 12D and AutoCAD.
  • Work with project managers to balance design work requirements with project schedules as established with clients.
  • Ensure all design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare civil design plans, specifications and estimates for a range of civil design projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience within a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated high level competency with engineering design software, including AutoCAD and 12D
  • Experience with designing access tracks and cut/fill pads. Wind farm design experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation and Australian Standards (preferable)
  • Working knowledge of specifications and software applied to civil construction infrastructure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects
  • Proficient in the operation of MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to show initiative and work to deadlines in a multi-project environment
  • Ability to work independently and engage and collaborate with stakeholders
