We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping for management reporting and analytical reports
  • Management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing
  • Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Preparation of financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Act as an expert on internal processes, documenting what is learned, and assisting in the development of controls and improvements
  • Work directly with clients to obtain documentation and information, ensuring timely delivery and tracking, meeting all milestones
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional communication at all times
  • Complete administrative tasks to support the team
  • Solve problems and escalate as necessary
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting/Finance/Business/Bookkeeping or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with full cycle bookkeeping
  • Comfortable learning new systems/software
  • Knowledge of CRA requirements and filings
  • Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-player attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable, able to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter eager to take responsibility
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working on a graveyard shift required
  • Laptop/desktop with minimum specs: processor Core i5 or higher, RAM 8GB or higher, internet speed at least 6 Mbps download and upload, quiet private workspace at home
