Accounts Payable Clerk Job Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Accounts Payable Clerk. As an essential part of our financial team, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate transactions, maintaining healthy cash flows, and contributing to our company's overall financial stability and growth.

This full-time position is based in the US and involves working from home. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, who can work independently as well as part of a team, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the outflow of financial resources, including bill processing, payments, expense reimbursements, etc., using BILL to manage the AP process, reviewing and verifying bills and check requests, enforcing payment terms, maintaining accurate and complete vendor records, preparing and maintaining accounts payable reports, resolving purchase orders, contracts, bills, or payment discrepancies and documentation, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, performing reconciliations of payable accounts, assisting in month-end closing activities, and maintaining a strong relationship with vendors and suppliers.

To be considered for this role, you should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, have proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk, solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Netsuite and BILL, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the outflow of financial resources, including bill processing, payments, expense reimbursements, etc.
  • Use BILL to manage the AP process.
  • Review and verify bills and check requests.
  • Enforce payment terms.
  • Maintain accurate and complete vendor records.
  • Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports.
  • Resolve purchase orders, contracts, bills, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Perform reconciliations of payable accounts.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with vendors and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
